R2 Architectural design and consulting was founded in 2007 by Robert
Rayner. Robert is a licensed Architect in the state of New Mexico and
has his Masters and Bachelors degree from the University of New Mexico school of
Architecture and Planning. Robert is originally from Albuquerque and after graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy and served 9-1/2 years on board fast attack nuclear submarines stationed in Norfolk, Va; San Diego, Ca; and Pearl Harbor, Hi. In 1997, Robert got out of the Navy and started academia. After graduation he was asked by the School of Architecture to return for two semesters and help teach 2nd semester Architecture students about computer modeling. In addition to teaching, Robert was also fulfilling his Internship with Garlan Bryan, Architect. after completing his internship with Garlan, Robert continued to consult with Garlan on many projects.
